WildRose is an independent Australian singer/songwriter, currently living in Perth, Western Australia. Her vocal and songwriting abilities extend across a variety of genres including rock, pop, jazz, classical, folk and country. Her debut EP is collection of songs showcasing her diversity however her debut album, Patchwork Fantasia, focuses on her love of rock and classical music blended to her own unique style which is unlike anything else. Although WR has been singing, acting and making music since she was just 6 years old, her professional career was launched in 2000 when she was nominated against some of the states best adult songwriters in the WAM Songwriting Contest. The nominated song was written when Rose was just 14 years of age. Although WR signed a recording contract at 16, things did not turn out as planned. This minor set back did not deter WR from pursuing a career within music. Instead, she co-founded Eclipsical Creations, the label through which she has produced her EP and forthcoming album. In 2006 WildRose's video Close to you debuted on national television (RAGE) and won Gold in the Australian Cinematography Awards. The EP that followed achieved successful sales and recognition in Europe, the US and Australia. Production on the album began in 2006 and was completed in June 2009 - a long time coming and well worth the wait. While funding and working on the album, Rose has performed in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider LIVE!, completed a degree in Psychology, Criminology and Justice and sung at local venues. This is just the beginning for such a talented, determined and unique artist. |
